In the writing sample section of the online application, you will have a choice of providing a written response to two out of three questions to evaluate your background and aptitude for commissioned service.
The writing sample allows you to speak directly to the admissions selection panel in your own words. Use this section as an opportunity to show the unique aspects and experiences of your life. Your answers should reflect who you are using specific, concrete details. They should also clearly demonstrate critical thinking, organizational and grammatical abilities.

推荐信
Letters of recommendation are not required but are strongly encouraged. You may submit two letters from individuals who can speak about your character, 完整性, 领导能力和经历.
These letters are separate from the required teacher evaluations and should be from individuals different from the instructors who will complete the School Official’s Evaluation.

The information provided in the Candidate Personal Data Record gives the selection panel a holistic review of your file. Make sure that you type your name in the last block of this form exactly as it appears on your birth certificate.

Please read the “Definition of Terms” carefully and complete the drug and alcohol abuse certificate. Carefully read all items of the “Certification at the Time of Application” and “Statements of Understanding.” Be sure you understand each before you mark the appropriate blocks.

Any abuse of drugs or alcohol after you sign the 2030 and before In-processing Day may cause us to withdraw your appointment. This score measures your activities in high school, 社区服务 and work. Low participation in sanctioned or high school athletic and nonathletic extracurricular activities may result in a noncompetitive extracurricular composite score. 然而, consideration will be given to candidates from schools that do not offer typical athletic and extracurricular activities, as well as to candidates who work after school or who have unusual accomplishments either in or out of school.
